Confidential document destruction.
Secure document destruction and shredding for business. Confidential documents, contracts, and records shredded so they cannot be read or reconstructed, witnessed on request and certified every time.
Secure, simple, and certified.
Document destruction is the secure shredding of business paper so it cannot be read or reassembled. It covers confidential records, contracts, HR and financial files, and end-of-retention archives. Shreddee shreds documents on site with a mobile unit or collects them under a documented chain of custody, and issues a certificate of destruction on every job.
Some paper cannot simply go in a bin or a generic shred console. Privileged files, contracts, board papers, M&A documents, and personal records carry real exposure if a single page surfaces. We destroy confidential documents so they cannot be read or reassembled, witnessed by you if you want to watch it happen.
One-time purges, secure clear-outs, or sensitive archives, on site so nothing leaves your premises intact, or collected under chain of custody and destroyed at our facility. Every job closes with a certificate of destruction.

Document Destruction, explained.
What is secure document destruction?
Secure document destruction is the controlled shredding of paper records so the information on them cannot be read or reconstructed. It differs from a personal shredder or a shared office console: the work is witnessed or held under chain of custody and documented, so you can prove it happened.
It applies to any paper carrying personal, financial, legal, or medical information, the records that create real exposure if a single page surfaces.
Where can a business get documents shredded?
For a business, the shredding usually comes to you rather than the other way around. A mobile unit shreds on site at your premises, or documents are collected in secure containers under a documented chain of custody and destroyed at our facility.
That is different from a retail drop-off or a free community shred event, which suit a few personal boxes but offer no chain of custody, no supervision, and no per-job certificate. For confidential business records, those matter.
On-site or off-site shredding, which do we need?
On-site (mobile) shredding destroys documents at your location while you watch, so nothing leaves intact, best for highly sensitive or witnessed destruction. Off-site collection is more efficient for large or recurring volumes, with the same chain of custody and certificate.
Many businesses mix both: scheduled off-site service for routine records and on-site destruction for sensitive purges.
What documents should a business destroy?
Anything holding personal or confidential information once it is past its retention period: HR and personnel files, financial and tax records, legal and contract files, patient and client records, and board or M&A papers.
Retention rules vary by record type and industry, HIPAA for health information and the FACTA Disposal Rule for consumer data both require records to be rendered unreadable before disposal. See our compliance guidance.
How do I prove the documents were destroyed?
Every job closes with a certificate of destruction recording what was destroyed, when, and how, with chain-of-custody documentation available on request.
That certificate is the evidence auditors and regulators expect, and the reason a documented service beats an unrecorded shred.

Document Destruction questions.
For businesses we bring the shredding to you: on-site mobile shredding at your premises, or secure collection under a documented chain of custody. That is more secure than a retail drop-off for confidential records. Tell us your city on the quote form and we will confirm service near you.
Yes. Our mobile service shreds at your location so nothing leaves the building intact, and you can witness it. It is the most defensible option for privileged or highly sensitive files. Larger or routine volumes can also be collected and destroyed off site, both certified.
Community shred events and office shredders suit a few personal pages, but they offer no chain of custody, no supervision, and no per-job certificate. For business records carrying legal, financial, or medical data, that documentation is exactly what an audit needs, which is what a certificate of destruction provides.
It is quoted per job, based on volume, on-site versus off-site service, and whether it is a one-time purge or recurring, rather than a flat published rate. A few boxes and a full archive clear-out are different jobs. Send the volume and your city on the quote form for a fixed price.
Yes. We handle one-time purges and clear-outs, end-of-retention archive destruction, and scheduled recurring shredding. Each job, one-off or ongoing, is witnessed on request and closes with a certificate of destruction, so the paperwork is consistent either way.
